The Kingdom of God suffereth violence and only the violent taketh it by force.
For every purpose driven person, there is always an opposition to debar progress and excellence of a man. Your destiny cannot be determined by someone else and it cannot be buried because before the foundation of the world, God already determine what you will become in life.
Jeremiah 29:11 says: “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord, the thought of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
One major ingredient I see about life is that the glory of the future attracts the trials and temptations of today. Freedom is a necessity in every man. As a man begin to grow, he begins to yearn for his independence and survival.
God made man to be free and have dominion over everything in the world, but because of the Adamic nature, man fell in the Garden of Eden. When man ate the fruit, he was entrapped in the prison of sin and death, but thanks to God who sent his only begotten son to the world to die for us and redeem us from the bondage.
According to Isaiah 61:1: “The spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good tidings unto broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.”
Many are jailed but they do not know. Get something right, you can be delivered and not be free. There is a difference between delieverance and freedom. The death of Jesus brought deliever-ance to be world, but not all have received this freedom. Did you know that it is your purpose that attracts the prison. Every purpose driven man must be prepared for a great battle in life.
The devil becomes so desperate to whip you with the stripes of sick-ness and diseases, infirmity and disgrace with delays. Are you being beaten by the circumstances of life, is it death and pains? All you need is your violent faith that will make you look at your situation in the face and say: ‘I will not fail. I am destined to succeed.’ Even when failure is staring you in your face, tell the devil, ‘I will not fail’ and he will flee from you.
Remember it is what you declare that you become.
The number two key point that happened to Paul and Silas is that they were being monitored. Re-member as we read the scripture earlier on, the judge gave a strict instruction to the jailer to watch over them and make sure they do not escape, so the jailer constantly monitored them. This is the situat-ion that so many in the church found themselves.
The number three thing is they were taken to the inner prison. The jailer put them in the dungeon where no good person can be kept. The inner prison is where it’s dark even in the noon day. It is where it is wet and cold polluted and very uncomfortable for the prisoners.
The forth one is that their feet were bound. After being kept in a dungeon with a strong gate and security, their feet were still bound to debar their movement and stop them from moving in the destiny God has ordained for them. They could not move.
The fifth thing that happened is that they applied spiritual violen-ce in the prison. They were bound physically but their spirits were free. They took spiritual violence to approach their destiny. They were determined to get out of prison doors that were binding them. They took spiritual violence of praise and prayer and these were what brought about their salvat-ion. They applied their violent faith to attack their situation. In fact they took this dangerous steps at an abnormal time, when they were supposed to be taking their rest, and even when other prison-ers were fast asleep.
Are you in the midnight situation in your life? Get into some violent praise and prayer and you’ll see the situation of your life turning around. They were not looking for at the other prisoners’ face, they decided to take an unusual mira-cle.
They praised God in advance. Get something right, it is prayer and praise that opened their prison doors. In every journey, a believer needs these two keys to break forth in life. Psalms 107:15-16; says: “Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he hath broken the gate of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder”.
It is your present confession that is your future possession. Every violent praise attracts violent results.
