Following earlier regional celebrations in Edo, Kano, Rivers and Osun states, as part of year-long activities to mark its centenary anniversary, Union Bank of Nigeria Plc celebrated with its customers and other stakeholders in Abuja, Oyo and Enugu states in appreciation of their commitment and support over the years.
The lineup of events included anniversary galas in the three locations, attended by customers, government functionaries, diplomats and other stakeholders. Five newly-upgraded branches were also unveiled.
Speaking about the anniversary celebrations, the bank’s CEO, Emeka Emuwa, said: “Our 100-year heritage is one that we are very proud of.
“As we celebrate this landmark anniversary, we acknowledge and appreciate our customers and key stakeholders, who have stood by us through the years. They are the reason we are where we are today.”
According to Eseme Eyiboh, former member, House of Representatives, and a customer of the bank, who spoke at the Abuja anniversary gala, “Union Bank stands out among others for its ethics, leadership, diligence and professionalism.”
